BBQ-Smoked Beef Brisket:
Ingredients:
- 4-5 lbs Beef Brisket
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup beef broth
- For BBQ Sauce:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste

- Prepare the Brisket: Pat the brisket dry with paper towels. In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub. - Continue Cooking: Place the wrapped brisket back in the smoker or oven until it reaches the desired internal temperature.
- Resting Period: Allow the brisket to rest in the foil for at least 30 minutes. This step is crucial for retaining juices and ensuring tenderness.
- Prepare BBQ Sauce: While the brisket is resting, combine all BBQ sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
